Georgia point guard Sundiata Gaines will have one more game this month for Dawg fans to cheer about, the DiGiorno College Basketball All-Star game.

The game will be played in San Antonio on Friday at 7:00 pm EST and will be televised on CSTV. The game will include many of the top seniors from college basketball this season including such SEC players as Vanderbilt’s Shan Foster and Kentucky’s Ramel Bradley.

Gaines is the 9th all-time leading scorer at Georgia and is also the all-time leader in steals, 2nd in assists and 11th in rebounds.

The Georgia Bulldogs are the SEC Champions.  In the tournament senior guard Sundiata Gaines was named tournament most valuable player.  Although, the Dawgs have won just two SEC Tournaments.  Gaines is the 3rd Georgia player to win the award.

Vern Fleming won the award back in 1983 and Dominique Wilkins won the award in 1981 despite the Dawgs not winning the title.
