DeAngelo Hall Trade To Oakland Met With Mixed Emotions
Posted by: Bart Stevens in Atlanta Falcons, tags: DeAngelo HallDeAngelo Hall says that he wants to maintain a home in Atlanta, but he’ll be playing football in Oakland from now on. It’s still not official, but the trade of Hall to Oakland for the Raiders 2nd round pick (#34) and a 6th round pick is still being ironed out.
Hall spoke, on the air, yesterday twice with 790 The Zone after the trade was made, but before the deal was finalized with Oakland. These were very interesting interviews as Brandon and Woolvey hit him with a few hard questions and The 2 Live Stews showed a little more support for the ex-Falcon defensive back. You can listen to the DeAngelo Hall interviews are available online at 790.
Emotions are mixed around Atlanta, just as the two radio shows yesterday took very different slants. Some are very happy to see Hall leave the team. They’re also very excited to think about what the extra 2nd and 6th round picks will bring in the upcoming draft. Others feel that Hall was way too large of a talent to practically give away. If you remember, the Falcons received more value in trade for Matt Schaub, who had never been a full time starter, and surely had never been a Pro Bowl selection.
