With his 18 point 11 rebound game on Friday against the Hornets, Atlanta Hawks rookie Al Horford notched his 17th double-double this season. He is currently tied for 33rd in that category with all-star Carmelo Anthony… not that impressive. But, he leads all rookies in that category. In fact, he has more double-doubles than the next 4 rookies combined… Luis Scola (5), Joakim Noah (5), Jared Dudley (4) and Mike Conley (2).
In case you were wondering last year, another Atlanta Hawk led rookies in double-doubles when Shelden Williams (now with Kings) led the league with 8.
