The Braves lost again tonight as they got defeated by the Mets 6-3.  Surprising Chipper Jones was hitless.   Well, that is not so surprising sort of… yes he is batting a career .328 against the Mets, but in 192 career regular season and postseason games against the Mets, he is hitless in 50 of them (that is more than 25%).

Here is the breakdown of Chipper against the Mets according to how many hits his has against them in a game…

0 hits: 50 games     Braves record 23-27

1 hit: 73 games        Braves record 40-33

2 hits: 55 games      Braves record 37-18

3 hits: 13 games       Braves record 10-3

4 hits: 1 game            Braves record 1-0 (game was on June 5, 1996)
