Even with the return of Chipper Jones (who went 1-for-3 with a double) and Mark Kotsay to the lineup, the Braves couldn’t pull out a win and lost to the Phillies 8 to 3.

The Braves are still 28-15 at home.  The 28 wins are the 2nd most in the National League behind the Cubs, but as of late even playing at home is not safe.

                                        Record              Batting Average              Team ERA

March/April                   8-4                           .308                              3.05

May                                 14-3                         .307                              3.18

June                                  6-7                           .263                             4.16

It did not start well in July either as the Phillies improved to 4-0 against the Braves at Turner Field.  The rest of this month at home, the Braves have 2 more against Philadelphia, then 3 against the Astros, then after the all-star break 3 against the Nationals and 4 more against the Cardinals.
