Well, the Atlanta Braves are struggling and it might get worse it Chipper Jones remains on the bench.  It doesn’t get much easier due to the fact that they have to travel to Chicago and take on the first place Cubs and then to Los Angeles and take on the first place Angels.  That’s followed by a one-game makeup game at Colorado and three more at Texas to take on a Rangers team that has scored the most runs in baseball.

Now June the last 3 seasons have been horrible.  A 3-5 record this season, 13-15 last season and a pitiful 6-21 record in June of 2006.  But they are not the only NL East team to struggle to take a June swoon in the last 3 seasons.

Here are the records of all the NL East teams over the last 3 seasons in just the month of June.  Surprising there is only one team over .500 and it was a shock to me on who it was…

Marlins: 32-29 (which is crazy because they are 14-22 in the last 2 seasons)

Phillies: 31-32 (again, strange since they are 22-14 over the last 2)

Mets: 30-32

Nationals: 22-39

Braves: 22-41
