The Georgia Bulldogs are now one win away to earn a trip to Omaha and the College World Series.  Yesterday they defeated NC State in game one of the Super Regional 11-4.  So far it has been the offense that has carried the way for the Dawgs in the postseason.  Seven times they have produced a 4-run inning or greater in the last 6 games.  As you can see it has been the best offensive output of any of Georgia’s previous College World Series teams in the regionals and beyond…

47 runs in 7 games - 6.7 runs per game

69 runs in 10 games - 6.9 (that includes a 20-run game vs Rutgers and a 16-run game vs Stanford and ace Mike Mussina)

 81 runs in 10 games - 8.1

 70 runs in 10 games - 7.0

 75 runs in 10 games - 7.5

 67 runs in 6 games so far - 11.2
