There is news today from the AJC concerning Jeff Francoeur’s contract status. The Braves have renewed his contract for another season.
Terms were not immediately available but it could be in the $450,000 - $500,000 range, after Francoeur made $427,500 last year.
There is still talk that the two sides will reach a long term deal in the next few weeks. As it stands, right now, $500,000 is a great bargain for a guy who plays in 162 games each season and puts up the numbers that Francoeur does.
